Volunteers Needed for Ogden Valley Balloon and Artist Festival August 16th– 19th 2018.
Eden, UT – The Ogden Valley Balloon and Artist Festival is seeking out excited and willing volunteers for the upcoming Festival August of 2018. The event is looking for two year around board members and multiple volunteers.
For people interested in becoming board members, the two positions needed are financial advisor and volunteer coordinator. The financial advisor is to help forecast the annual financial budget, to work with the chair, administrative assistant, and accountant to categorize the events expenditures. The volunteer coordinator will work directly with the board and the chair to organize all the participating volunteers and help set up and break down the event.
Volunteers are needed for the following:
- In the Medical tent (must have first responder or EMT training).
- Manage traffic during event.
- At the info booth.
- Posting signage.
- Setting up electrical needs.
- Helping set up and take down the event.
The Ogden Valley Balloon and Artist Festival is a non-profit event that is centered around bringing the community a fun, family friendly event. The event was founded in 1994 and has grown substantially as the years have come and gone. The festival was designed to help grow awareness of the community and help local business grow. philanthropic efforts support the Ogden Rescue Mission and Mountain Art and Music.
“What makes the Ogden Valley Balloon and Artist Festival special for the participants and volunteers is they have hands on experiences with the balloons and the pilots,” said Terry Murphy, chair of the Ogden Valley Balloon and Artist Festival. “There is something magical about being in the presence of 15 hot air balloons as they inflate and lift from the valley floor into the beautiful mountain scenery.”
